Keeping people on their feet in ARC Raiders can eat through supplies fast. One bad push, one drone you didn’t hear, and suddenly the whole squad is crawling around yelling for a revive. That’s why Moss matters more than it looks like it should. It’s light, easy to carry, and tied to medical crafting, so I always treat it like one of those small ARC Raiders Items you grab even when your bag is already messy. If you’re making defibrillators often, you’ll burn through Moss quicker than expected, especially during early and mid-game runs.
Start With the Safer Ground
The most relaxed place I’ve found for Moss is around the northern and central swampy parts of Dam Battlegrounds, with Formicai Hills being the route I’d tell newer players to learn first. It’s not empty, so don’t switch your brain off, but it’s quieter than the big loot zones. Check muddy banks, damp patches near roots, and low plants close to standing water. Don’t sprint past the ugly little corners either. Moss is easy to miss when you’re scanning for weapons, boxes, or movement on the ridge. A slow loop around the hills can give you enough to keep your medical bench busy without forcing a fight every two minutes. Why Formicai Hills Works So Well
The good thing about this area is the rhythm. You can move, loot, listen, and move again without feeling trapped inside tight rooms. If another squad shows up, there’s usually space to back off or cut behind terrain. That matters when you’re farming, because dying with a backpack full of crafting mats feels awful. I like to enter from the edge, sweep the wet ground first, then check the vegetation around the hill paths before deciding whether to rotate deeper. It’s not the fastest Moss farm on the map, but it’s steady. For solo players, that’s often worth more than speed.Hydroponic Domes Are Faster but Riskier
If you’re geared and you don’t mind a fight, the Hydroponic Dome Complex is where Moss farming starts to feel much quicker. The place makes sense for it. You’ve got plant beds, humid rooms, containers, tanks, and overgrown industrial sections all packed together. You can pull Moss while also grabbing better technical materials, which makes the trip tempting. The downside is obvious the second you walk in. Other players know the loot is good. Sightlines get weird, footsteps bounce around, and it’s very easy to get pinched while checking a side room. Go in with a plan, not just greed.Build a Route You Can Actually Survive
Random Raider outposts and settlement baskets can drop Moss too, and when the map rolls into a lush bloom state, vegetation loot seems to show up far more often. Still, I wouldn’t build a whole run around luck. A better pattern is simple: start near Formicai Hills, secure a safe stack, then decide if your squad has the ammo and confidence to hit the Domes before extraction. If you’re short on time or just want to prepare faster outside normal farming, some players also use RSVSR for game items or currency support, though smart routing in-raid will always keep your stash healthier in the long run.At RSVSR, we keep ARC Raiders farming simple, useful, and raid-ready. Chasing Moss on Dam Battlegrounds? Try the quieter Formicai Hills wetlands first, then push Hydroponic Dome when you want faster loot and don’t mind the heat.
